So you have just learned how to house train your dog and 3 basic commands for training. You are well on your way to living with a trained dog. As I said earlier, if you want to advance your training try Obedience classes or pick up one of the many books available. There are literally tons of different training exercises and commands, this was just to get you started on the right path and hopefully help you make the right decisions. I know I have said this a lot, but always remember to reward your dog for everything that he does right. This is the most important part of training as it will keep the dog interested and build a very strong bond between you and your pet. Keep in mind, some dogs can be tricky to train and may take more time than others. Be patient and calm, never blow up, yell etcetera at the animal as this will cause more problems in the long run. I highly recommend advancement in the training, maybe not so much as to Competing in competitions but it could never hurt to teach your dog new commands.
